Mashed Poetics is a night of music and spoken word mash up. Every three months we present a new album with poetry inspired by the songs from that particular record. In the past we have performed the albums Nevermind (Nirvana), Paranoid (Black Sabbath), Greatest Hits (Aretha Franklin), Axis Bold as Love (Jimi Hendrix), Gordon (Barenaked Ladies), Purple Rain (Prince) and many more. Every January we also feature a night of classic TV Theme Songs or Movie Theme Songs.

Mashed Poetics has been a part of the Verses Festival of Words and the Canadian Festival of Words several times featuring some of the best poets from both the publishing world and the stage.
